هفدهمین سمپوزیوم اروپایی مهندسی فرآیند به کمک رایانه شامل مقالاتی است که در هفدهمین سمپوزیوم اروپایی مهندسی فرآیند به کمک رایانه (ESCAPE 17) که از 27 تا 30 می 2007 در بخارست، رومانی برگزار شد، ارائه شده است. مجموعه ESCAPE به عنوان یک انجمن برای دانشمندان و مهندسین خدمت می کند. از دانشگاه و صنعت برای بحث در مورد پیشرفت های به دست آمده در زمینه مهندسی فرآیند به کمک کامپیوتر (CAPE). هدف اصلی تأکید بر تداوم در تحقیق مفاهیم نوآورانه و روش‌های طراحی سیستماتیک و همچنین تنوع برنامه‌های برآمده از خواسته‌های توسعه پایدار بود. ESCAPE 17 فناوری نرم افزار پیشرفت مورد نیاز برای پیاده سازی ابزارهای مبتنی بر شبیه سازی را برجسته می کند. این سمپوزیوم بر اساس 5 موضوع و 27 موضوع است که از گرایش های اصلی در حوزه CAPE پیروی می کند: مدل سازی، طراحی فرآیند و محصولات، بهینه سازی و کنترل و عملیات بهینه، زیست شناسی سیستم و فرآیندهای بیولوژیکی، یکپارچه سازی فرآیندها و توسعه پایدار. شرکت کنندگان از 50 کشور در آن شرکت کردند و سخنرانان دعوت شده 5 سخنرانی عمومی با موضوعات گسترده و 10 سخنرانی اصلی ارائه کردند. رویدادهای ماهواره ای به بعد علمی این سمپوزیوم اضافه کردند. * همه مشارکت‌ها در CD-ROM ضمیمه کتاب گنجانده شده است. * حضور از 50 کشور با سخنرانان دعوت شده که 5 سخنرانی عمومی با موضوعات گسترده و 10 سخنرانی اصلی ارائه می‌کنند.

The 17th European Symposium on Computed Aided Process Engineering contains papers presented at the 17th European Symposium of Computer Aided Process Engineering (ESCAPE 17) held in Bucharest, Romania, from 27-30 May 2007. The ESCAPE series serves as a forum for scientists and engineers from academia and industry to discuss progress achieved in the area of Computer Aided Process Engineering (CAPE). The main goal was to emphasize the continuity in research of innovative concepts and systematic design methods as well the diversity of applications emerged from the demands of sustainable development. ESCAPE 17 highlights the progresss software technology needed for implementing simulation based tools. The symposium is based on 5 themes and 27 topics, following the main trends in CAPE area: Modelling, Process and Products Design, Optimisation and Optimal Control and Operation, System Biology and Biological Processes, Process Integration and Sustainable Development. Participants from 50 countries attended and invited speakers presented 5 plenary lectures tackling broad subjects and 10 keynote lectures.
